Projects
This page highlights ongoing research, writing, and development work across science, education, and technology. From computational chemistry and cancer reclassification to accessible STEM education and privacy-focused tools, each project reflects a commitment to thoughtful systems, open knowledge, and meaningful impact. Whether preprints, patents, prototypes, or policy proposals, the goal is the same: to build and share things that matter.
The Case for Molecular Oncology:
A Post-Anatomical Model of Cancer
Most cancers are still classified by the organ they appear in — not by their molecular makeup. But tumors that look alike under a microscope can behave very differently, and those in different organs can share key mutations. This preprint proposes a shift: classifying cancer by its genetic and biochemical features rather than location. Doing so could improve diagnosis, guide targeted therapy, and reshape how we understand and treat cancer. Recently, I posted a preprint on OSF Preprints, entitled A Case for Molecular Reclassification of Cancer: Implications for Policy, Diagnosis, and Treatment.
